Once you have registered for WhatsApp Business API (WABA) service, you can use any chatbot inside the TARS builder as a WhatsApp chatbot. Here's an article on how to get started with a WABA account.

Follow the steps below to learn how to configure:

  1. Once you have created a chatbot flow in your Tars account, all you need to do is go to the Distribute/Share section of that chatbot. Click on the WhatsApp Channel here. You should see a screen which looks like this:

2. Select Tars(Direct) from the dropdown as your WhatsApp API Provider. You can choose other API provider like Twilio as well if you already have a WABA account through Twilio etc.

3. Enter your WhatsApp number and the API key in the following fields. You'll get these details once your WABA account is confirmed.

Click on "Publish on WA" and that's it. Your WhatsApp chatbot is active now.

Once the WhatsApp section has been setup, drop a text to the WhatsApp business number to get the conversation started.
